Andrew Stevenson Venture Lab opens at Sparkhouse
A new shared office space is now open at Sparkhouse - the Andrew Stevenson Venture Lab, named in honour of the University’s founding Director of Research and Enterprise, the late Andrew Stevenson. This will provide 10 dedicated desk spaces for budding entrepreneurs to start and grow their businesses within Sparkhouse, the university’s on-campus business incubator.
The space was officially opened today at a special launch event by Andrew’s family, with guests, including Sparkhouse tenants, colleagues from Research and Enterprise at the University of Lincoln, and local partners and stakeholders. The event marked both a celebration of Andrew’s legacy and a shared commitment to supporting future entrepreneurs.
Reece Leggett, Enterprise Manager at the University of Lincoln, said: “The Venture Lab has been created as a space to support founders, encourage collaboration and turn ambition into action. We felt it was fitting to name it after Andrew, whose belief in giving people with ideas the right environment and support continues to guide our work. It is both a practical resource for future entrepreneurs and a lasting tribute to his legacy.”
Tenants of the lab can enjoy support from the thriving community of small businesses within Sparkhouse, as well as academic expertise and research capability from the University of Lincoln.
